Phuket Sandbox Program and 7+7 Extension

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The government of Thailand reopens the country with no quarantine for travelers and tourists. Based on the Phuket Sandbox model, the southern island province (Phuket) is the pioneer tourist destination that reopened for fully vaccinated guests against the coronavirus.

What Is Exactly a Phuket Sandbox?

Phuket Sandbox is a new model that enables vaccinated guests and visitors to visit Thailand without undergoing quarantine. The program started on July 1, 2021, before borders will be reopened. Phuket is the first province in Thailand of this sandbox model, and visitors going to the island will no longer need to undergo quarantine.

Phuket Sandbox Regulations

Phuket Sandbox has been formally confirmed and issued in the Royal Gazette on June 29, 2021. Tourists who are fully vaccinated have to stay no less than fourteen nights in Phuket if they like to visit other places in Thailand. You must stay in Phuket for fourteen days and obtain negative test results prior to going to other places.

Who are Qualified for Phuket Sandbox?

Vaccinated visitors aged eighteen and above traveling from medium or low-risk destinations of Corona Virus have to be vaccinated for over fourteen days prior to the departure date and can give a vaccination card or certificate.

Kids below 18 years old traveling with guardians or parents should have a medical certificate with a lab result by an RT-PRC scheme, showing COVID-19 is indicated no more than two days before the travel date.

Foreigners and Thais traveling from medium or low-risk destinations are qualified to partake in Phuket Sandbox.

Phuket Sandbox 7+7 Extension

The TAT or Tourism Authority of Thailand recently announced that the Phuket Sandbox plan had obtained a consent from the CCSA or Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration to be advanced as the 7+7 Extension offering totally vaccinated travelers or visitors from all parts of the world with more choices to go to various places in Thailand without undergoing a quarantine.

Starting from August 16, 2021, this new program enabled eligible international visitors and travelers to lessen the required stay on the island of Phuket from fourteen days to seven days only; after that, additional seven nights are permitted in Samui Plus – Ko Samui, Ko Ngai, Railay, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Yao or Khao Lak, Ko Tao, as well as Ko Pha-ngan.

The current entry measures put in place for the Phuket Sandbox plan remain the same or unchanged for the 7+7 Extension. On the other hand, visitors who have a plan of spending another seven nights outside the island of Phuket should get a Transfer Form given by the hotel accommodation in Phuket, showing that they stayed on the island for seven nights that they will require to show along with the negative test results of the two COVID-19 tests, performed on day zero and day six and seven in the island of Phuket.

Traveling from the island of Phuket to the chosen places in Krabi, Surat, or Phang-Nga Thais is just available via approved ways and modes of transport.

It is a modest province in Thailand; however, it is a superb destination for visitors and travelers, both local and international. Traveling to Phang Nga is one of Thailand’s best tours or trips, especially to beachfront and cost lovers.

The island was used as the setting place for one of the most famous James Bond films entitled, The Man with the Golden Gun. That is the reason why Phang Nga travel is extremely recommended. On the other hand, some of these islets have no seashores; it does not hinder everyone from visiting, though.

Each island has acquired its own exceptional shape. Some of the look like high poles rising from the ocean or have acquired caverns generated by the erosion from ocean water streaming. Guests and travelers who are able to swim in the caverns might enjoy, love as well as discover the attractive and dazzling sea life living in the caverns.

What is more, travelers can also choose to take a motorboat to visit these thrilling and amazing islets. They can keep in touch with trip agencies or counters in the tropical island of Phuket to sort out a Phang Nga travel exclusively. The whole thing well then set up perfectly. They will guide you anywhere you go all through the travel, particularly in island hopping. Therefore, give yourself a reward or incentive by visiting Phang Nga with friends and loved ones on your next holiday. Using a motorboat tour to visit these dazzling and thrilling islets, you will witness what mother nature can offer in its almost all dramatic and fascinating views that you will be holding out for.

Thailand is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and it is filled with amazing sights. Whether it is the incredible beaches, the delicious street food or the amazing culture, there are plenty of reasons to visit. We will list some of our top tips and tricks to help you make the most of your trip.
Bring cash
When you are traveling, cash is an important issue. Even though many people have started using their credit cards and debit cards for everything, cash still has advantages. For example, traveling with cash costs a lot less, you can remain anonymous, and you are not exposed to any credit or debit card fees.
Consider renting a scooter.
Thailand is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. In fact, this is the country that makes up the bulk of our daily user statistics. People love biking here and, for a good reason — traffic is crazy, and traffic accidents are frequent. That’s why you might want to consider renting a scooter. You’ll be able to ride around many of the city’s tight traffic circles at faster speeds than you can on foot, and you can even rent a scooter for use throughout the country.
Anticipate language barriers.
Thailand is a beautiful country with a colorful history and captivating customs. The people of Thailand are also friendly, friendly, and friendly people. They speak many languages, but conversational Thai is the most widely used.
Consider your footwear.
By now, we know that walking is for the birds when you’re in Thailand. The traffic and crazy drivers can be challenging, but that’s not the only reason to reconsider choosing your footwear. The dry climate and the heat can sometimes make our shoes get wet. When they do, they smell bad, and you can’t wear them. They may even get ruined.
Dress appropriately
In Thailand, it is customary to dress modestly when you are in a public place such as a market, bar, or a temple. Men should cover their shoulders and knees, considered sacred in Thailand, and women should cover their arms (shoulders and chest) and legs, elbows, and knees.
Be scam savvy.
There are lots of tips for traveling in Thailand that you can find online. You can also read about scams that target travelers or even advice on how to avoid them. Thailand is a country that has it all: pure tropical beaches, a rich history, and an incredible culture where you can find people who live in harmony with nature. You would expect it to be a safe travel destination, but unfortunately, it’s not. There have been reports of scams and scam-related crimes throughout Thailand, such as the notorious tuk tuk scam.
Thailand is one of my favorite countries to visit because of the amazing nature, food, and people and because of the country’s culture and history. Thailand is one of the most popular destinations in the world, and it is home to many tourists from all over the globe. Although Thailand is an amazing place to visit, it is not necessarily the best option for most travelers. Most tourists don’t want to spend all day on the beach, and they don’t want to stay in the most expensive hotels or get massages every day. This is why tourists need to travel most cost-effectively.
